This beautifully converted mill, situated within a picturesque valley and surrounded by lush forests, water stream all around the house, rolling hills and green pastures is an equally ideal location for either a romantic getaway, or a family holiday. Relax on the terrace while the resident kingfishers dart back and forth, explore the woods and fields and let the babbling brook lull you to sleep at night. You can pick up your daily baguette and basic groceries in the local village of Queaux, or take a drive to the supermarkets in L`Isle Jourdain and Lussac Les Chateaux to pick up some fresh produce, French wine and cheese. The towns of Poitiers and Limoges are both within an hours` drive.

Car is necessary.

The picture perfect and sleepy village of Queaux is home to only 618 inhabitants, yet it boasts a boulangerie, a restaurant, a bar and tobacconist. Visit the local `beach`: the sandy banks of the Vienne river, where you will find a mini golf course and playground for the kids. The neighbouring village of Gouex, 5 kilometres away, has a lovely outside community pool which is open during the summer months. The towns of Poitiers and Limoges are both within an hours` drive. There you will find a plethora of exquisite restaurants and chic boutiques and an abundance of historical architecture. Local attractions include Angles sur L`Anglin, one of France`s most beautiful villages, Oradour sur Gland, a WW2 memorial village, and Futuroscope, all within approximately 50 kilometres.
